Lantern House Trust

Lantern House Trust is a charitable trust that is actively striving to provide a home away from home for persons with high need disabilities. The trust has been fundraising for over four years, and aims to provide a residential home for up to five people in Inglewood. Lantern House wishes to provide a caring environment for the residents, and provide day services that are tailored to their needs.

The trust currently has five (5) trustees, comprising of four (4) family and one (1) independent trustee, and is seeking a further independent trustee. 

Role: Independent Trustee

Location: Taranaki wide

Applications close: Applications will remain open until the vacancy has been filled

Commitment required: Meetings are held monthly (2-3 hours) typical duration, plus a further 4-5 hours per month. Initial term is 2 years.

Interested parties with some or all of these skills are encouraged to apply:

  • Sound business and governance experience

  • Have an affinity with high needs young adults

  • Experience in fundraising and project work

  • Experience of building and maintaining  relationships with stakeholders

  • Communications (including social media)

  • Marketing or related area

  • Community involvement
